In order to optimally develop and continuously improve our website and our service offerings, tailor them to your interests and needs, and enhance their structure and content, we use so-called online identifiers provided by an application, tool, or protocol, in particular cookies and IP addresses.

1. Cookies

In the HTTP protocol, a cookie is a small amount of status data that a web server sends to a web browser while the user is browsing a website, provided that the website uses cookies. If cookies are enabled in the web browser, they are stored on the user’s computer or mobile device, typically as a small text file in a designated location. I.1 Purpose of Using Cookies

An IP address is a logical numerical identifier for a given node (computer or mobile device) on a network that communicates with other nodes via the IP protocol (such as the Internet or a local network). An IP address is either directly assigned to a network interface (static) or is assigned dynamically via a DHCP server (dynamic).

A static IP address is an address permanently assigned to a specific computer or mobile device by the internet service provider for the entire duration of the relevant contractual relationship, and it does not change even if you restart the computer or mobile device. A static IP address is typically assigned to servers that host websites, provide email, databases, and FTP services.

A dynamic IP address is automatically assigned to a computer or mobile device by the internet service provider essentially every time the computer, mobile device, or router is restarted using the DHCP protocol. This protocol is controllable and allows an administrator to directly or indirectly identify a computer or mobile device, which may lead to the identification of the user of the computer or mobile device. A dynamic IP address changes every time you connect to the provider’s network or connect to the internet.
